Infant resuscitation table for Rutaka
Previously, when infants have needed treatment or examining they had to be placed on a wooden shelf attached to the wall. To alleviate this situation, HealthTree Uganda provided funding for a state-of-the-art infant resuscitation table.
As well as providing greater safer and comfort for the baby being examined, the table enables a team of medical staff to be involved at the same time. It also has a battery of potentially life-saving testing equipment, checking for example breathing, heartbeat and temperature, as well as lights for treating infants with jaundice. This is another big step forward in the maternity services provided by Rutaka Health Centre.
